Julie Payne-Neward is a tenacious advocate for her eldest sister, Natalie, who has an undiagnosed intellectual and developmental disability and is a #metoo survivor. She is a partner advocate with Marisol Rubio under Marisol and Julie Advocate, Family Advocates pursuing critical legislation. Founder of Natalie’s Voice, a project dedicated to growing the awareness that the sexual assault of people with I/DD is of epidemic levels and calling all Champions to join in, and she is co-founder and vice-president of the nonprofit, the California Sibling Leadership Network which is dedicated to cultivating a supportive community for adult siblings of people with I/DD. She was appointed by Governor Brown to the State Council on Developmental Disabilities in 2019.
Elected Director of the Dublin San Ramon Services District, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Director of Government Affairs, Elected Sierra Club San Francisco Bay Area Executive Committee Board and Tri-Valley Group Vice Chair, and Political Advisor who is a passionate, self-starter with firsthand knowledge and demonstrated leadership to find creative, concrete solutions to our most salient, complex educational, socioeconomic, and health care problems. Through my diverse line of work, I have forged close relationships with key players in various job sectors that enable me to deliver unparalleled results for our communities.
